Application form

Please fill in the electronic application after reading the information provided in the ‘academic info’ section; and attach a letter of institutional verification.

The letter of institutional verification is an important element for supporting your application. The letter must state your affiliation, degree, research project and qualifications and be written on the offical paper of your institution and offically signed / stamped. The name of your supervisor should be mentioned in the letter. We accept signed and scanned letters uploaded through the application form. If the letter is ready when you are applying, the upload function will appear when you are revising your application after you complete all the required fields. Alternatively, you can send the letter of institutional verification by email to the BSRS Secretariat: gdc@uib.no

Once all the fields of the application form are filled please press ‘preview’ and verify all the data is correct. After you press the ‘submit’ button you will receive an automatic confirmation email. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours from the submission, please contact BSRS at gdc@uib.no.

Travel support is exclusively reserved for students affiliated to academic institutions from the global south. Please provide the required information, including reasons for applying for travel support.

The application form are now ready online (see below). Please note that the BSRS only accept online application and NOT sent by email or posted.

And deadline for submitting the application form is 15th February 2012.
