BSRS Governance Structure

The Bergen Summer Research School is a joint venture between the University of Bergen , the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, the Chr. Michelsen Institute , the Bergen University College and UniResearch. It is led by the University of Bergen as a key element of the Action plan for international activities..

Steering Committee 2008-2011

The BSRS is governed by a Steering Committee consisting of the heads of the collaborating institutions. The Steering Committee has the overall responsibility to decide the themes of the consecutive Bergen Summer Research Schools and, on behalf of their institutions, guarantee the financial basis of the project.

Programme Committee

The role of the BSRS Programme Committee is to secure the academic continuity of the BSRS from year to year, suggest themes for each of the Summer Research Schools within the overall theme of Global Development Challenges and select the actual courses offered by each individual edition. The members of the Committee are appointed by the collaborating institutions to represent the full scope of excellent research milieus in the Bergen region, relevant to the overall theme of BSRS.
